Today I want to talk about the question I get asked the most (by friends, family, on IG). How do you manage it all? When do you find the time to blog, take care of the kids, work and home? It’s simple. I don’t do it all myself. I ASK for HELP.
I’ve also come to realize that this question is always directed at me and not my husband. No one ever asks him how he manages home, work, kids etc etc. HAHA A lot of what I am able to do (blogging, work) is because I have that helping hand at home. My husband picks up the kids after school, helps with homework, puts them to bed, on some days drives them to school. He is also the man behind my blog, he takes all my pictures, scouts for locations with me. He even helps cook for us on some days when I volunteer to watch the kids instead. We also want to thank our lovely housekeeping who come in twice a week to help with the house chores. So as you see, I don’t do it all myself. And if I did, I wouldn’t be writing this blog post today 🙂
The second most important thing is to have and maintain a schedule. Our schedules are pretty tight, we’re almost always up by 6:30am and in bed by 10pm. During the day, the school drop off and pick up happen around the same times, we make time to work out, chit chat, cook, help with homework, watch Netflix, clean up the kitchen, and continue working if needed. And on the weekends we relax mostly, but also make time for taking blog pictures and spend time together as a family.
As we get into the holiday season (which is my most favorite time of the year) I cannot wait to spend it with my little family. And coming to that, what are your holiday plans this year?
